I need to buy quarter inch cables to connect my monitors to the interface...can i use a guitar quarter inch cable to connect them..or do i need a special one? and if is possible to use a guitar cable...would it loose quality?

Assuming you have powered monitors, then 1/4 cable is fine, and a guitar lead will work ok. However, you would be aware that guitar cables differ in quality. Poorer quality ones have fragile cores and thin shields, and these can create noise and signal problems. Your interface and monitors will most likely accept TRS plugs, which means you gain benefits by using a stereo guitar cable.

Check if your output device and your monitors have balanced 1/4" connectors. If they do, you really should use a TRS 1/4" cable - otherwise you'll lose a few dB and have a more noisy connection.
