Hi all, I've been using my midi drum kit with ezdrummer for a while now, but want to be able to record onto cubase while someone else is playing. This becomes difficult because the midi drums seem to snap into place, rather than dropping in where I play them.

After a bit of googling it seems quantize is the feature I need out of my life, but I can't find a way to stop it! I've got Cubase SX and have spent hours messing with quantize, but can't seem to turn it off.

Can anyone help please?

Not sure if SX is the same, but there is an on/off button on the top of the project window in C5-7 ('iQ'). Also in the Drum Editor or Key Editor.

Auto quantize on/off

Make sure the transport panel is opened, then check if "AUTO Q" rectangular button is off. In order to record exactly the stuff you're playing (without snapping into place), the "AUTO Q" must be turned off. I attached an image for youView attachment 79081 to get a closer look at what i'm talking about :p
