Yes, and it should be quite easy. Every part in a mix has a range that can be set on the keyboard. If you have the manual, Go to the section about editing Mixes and see the part about setting the Range for each program within the mix; you build a split by editing a mix. It's been at least 20 years since I have owned a QS8 so I can't walk you through it by memory. I upgraded to an Alesis Fusion and it's got the same basic architecture but the UI is a little different.
