Q10 to MBox: no audio in Vegas

Hey there,

I pulled my Q10 out of the computer to ship to a friend who is interested in buying it. Prior to that, both the Q10 and MBox drivers were listed as devices in Vegas 5. Now that the Q10 is uninstalled, the MBox isn't available. It's not available in Acid 4 either. Oddly enough, it *is* available in Sound Forge 6, which is the oldest of the Sony products I have.

Checking driver versions, the ASIO driver for the MBox is 6.4, which matches the ProTools version.

I downloaded the latest wave driver from Digidesign's site and installed it. No dice. All I really need is playback capability from Vegas right now.

Any ideas or pointers in the right direction are appreciated!
 
Pull all of the devices/drivers off of your box. Reinstall. Note that I am NOT saying to reinstall your software, just the devices in Device Manager.
 
yep, i agree. reinstall them.
the reason it's working with Sound Forge is because that program utilizes the WaveDriver...not ASIO. so sounds like an ASIO problem
