Hey samich17, I listened to rabbit renewed. I don't really feel qualifed to comment on this, cuz I don't listen to this kind of music, but it sounded well done. I didn't really notice the ssss thing, but that could be the headphones I'm listening on. Good job! :)

Macle

macle - thanks a lot brother for listening to the cut...i appreciate it...i am anticipating posting new stuff, much better stuff...those two songs are atleast 6 months old....take care

Hey samich...

Like macle, I don't really listen to this type of music very often.
But, from what I hear, it sounds really good.
(I'll refrain from the "S" commentary... it's been beaten to death)

I agree with VOX... you sound like you could do an Alan Parsons cover to perfection. (If you do, please do "Games People Play", allright? ;) )

The music sounded pretty darned good.
I would've hoped to get a warmer sound from the keyboards.
More of a "Leslie" sound... but, that's just a personal preference on my part.

Overall, very nice work! :)

Buck

Buck - hey man, thanks a lot for taking time to listen.i appreciate the feedback...i also try to utilize the suggestions people offer me in new songs...if i give that Leslie idea whirl in a tune, i'll give you some credit....thanks again brother...take care..

Samich,I was feelin' this!! Good production (no siblance comments here) a lil low boost here and there and trim the hi's
just a slight bit and you got a great recording!
Still, IMHO, this was excellent!
D@mn good job!!!

misterqcue - thanks a lot man, it's nice that so many people are responding....i'm going to be putting up a new song today, i hope to see you there....as always...i will take the things you recommend into consideration...thanks again...take care

Hi, I definitely hear the later Radiohead influence on the song as well, but that's totally positive in my book. I, too, would request little things happening in the background, the main synth sequence doesn't seem to be able to carry the whole song. In my head, I'd like the rhythm loop to be even more up front, with the synthezisers panned to the sides, leaving the middle for the bass sequence and vocals. I wouldn't say do this for everything though, I am a very big fan of panning things to weird places just for shear fun of it. ;)

I think there is great potential in this song, maybe that's why I'm saying more than you want me to, I really dislike the last part of the song though, from 2:40 an forward. The first part of the song, being as haunting (and good) as it is in this song, the vibe after 3:20 totally ruined the feel in it to me. But this is more of my observation than a tip, really. Pursue your way of doing things!

Regards,
/Henrik

Henrik - i truly appreciate you taking the time to listen to the cut..

radiohead has playd a major role in my music creation, especially their latest trends of breaking the norms, while maintaining the rock presence... i will take the things you said into consideration...i've been implementing many of the things that people on here have suggested..i plan on posting some new material with credits to those who offered tips...

the last part of the tune that you disliked was added a few days after the beginning and middle parts...it does have a different feel to it, but i like it, because the drums changed and the freestyle lyrics gave it an upbeat contrast...i do appreciate your honesty..i'd like to hear what you think of the other cuts...you can find them at

thanks again man, take care.

Sounds good to me Samich... The ssssssssssss thing stood out a little, but I know that you can fix it. I like the style and idea of the song. I posted a rough mix that goes with that Drum track that you heard the other day. Check it out.

Fangar

fangar - sorry it's taken me so long to respond..i want to thanks you for listening to the songs and commenting...i've been working harder on controlling the sibilance in the vocals..

i gave your track a listen, very cool stuff...a little too much guitar solo, but it is sick all the same. great job sonically. i'd like to hear some singing, although it is pretty full as it is.. it gets killer around the 2 minute mark with the chugging distorted guitar...fucking sweet...my only suggestion would be to fit some vocals in there between the guitars..very nice break down at 3:30. great job. i give this track an 8/10

thanks again for listening

rabbit renewed...

I like this kind of music alot, and enjoying looking for artists who do this kind of stuff. I found the vocals to be a bit mono-tone, however, and possibly a little harsh for this style of backing music. I could take a couple more chords in there too. However, very interesting music, and I enjoyed it.

mixmkr - thanks for listening.. the vocals are mono-tone, i am by no means a singer, but when you have lyrics and no other voices, you have to settle for what you have...those are older cuts, i've been getting better at harmonizng and ranging my voice better..i find it to be the hardest thing with music, besides mixing...bass and guitar are my main instruments...as far as more chords, i've written all types of music from elaborate compositions to jazz...this past year i've been cutting down to the basics..working more on sound than arrangements....strangely, more simple music has been appealing to me...if it has a phat beat, solid bass line and sharp guitar...chances are, i'll like it..in any such case...i appreciate the feedback..take care.

I agree. I'll admit that I still love "disco-style" music due to the 'larger than life' sound on the drums. I can listen to a Boom/whap, Boom/whap....all night long. Throw on a Van halen lead, you got me hooked. Now...I need to leave the room after making that disco remark.....cya!!

i don't know that i'd categorize this as "disco" for one thing, i no longer blast rail after rail of cocaine before recording :) don't get me wrong, i certainly like disco, but i prefer to classify this music as white boy hip-hop.. the Bee Gees have nothing on me...well, except millions of dollars and poontang to last a lifetime/

no...no catagorizing it as disco....just a statement when our conversation went on a tangent...:D

Been e-mailing your ma back and forth past couple days, she's cool people! Keep up the good work J.

Blue Bear Sssssound had me laughin' my ass off at this topic. I can't stop laughin' lmmfao. Snakessss and rabbitsssss sss. What happened to the ssong? I don't see it on the page. I wanna hear it. You probably need a pop filter to fix it though. Peace!!!!!

waldo - yeah man, she is a great person..one of my inspirations...thanks for the previous feedback, much appreciated..

rapper 2001 - i don't know if you are trying to find the cuts or not, your message was a bit obscure...anyways, the URL is

http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/2/1265/singles.shtml

let me know what you think... the sibilance isn't from not having a pop filter...it is the way i sing..i just have to get better at pronunciation..but if you can get passed the sibilance..you might see that the lyrics are the passion...
