I hope no one minds if I use some of my riffs in my own songs down the road? LOL....I really like some of my riffs and I still have 3 songs to to write for my Demo CD....LOL

Yeah, I'm thinking my first riff is a bit shitty...I'm liking the second one better myself. I'll make sure that everybody at work pisses me off tomorrow for some additional inspiration.

Not to get off topic but if you have time and are willing to listen to the other 4 clips on my other post and let me know what ones you like best that would be great. I was tweaking my guitars and I "think" I have a better sound and was just wondering what others thought.

I have no idea what's going on right now but I can belt out some pretty gruesome death metal vocals, ala Necrophagist, Nile, Circle of Dead Children, etc. if that's what's needed. Also can do lead guitar. Just confused about which track who's doing what to.
 
Yeah, we'll get something more "officially" put together soon. Metalhead28 is insanely great at this type of music (and he's 50 times the guitarist that I'll ever hope to be :D ), so we're all pretty much just going to crucify him with ideas and then slowly put a song together.

By the way Purge, I tuned down to C to play that stuff, but I don't really care where we all tune to play the final track. Whatever you guys like.
I normally tune to D but I thought I would try going lower just for a goof. I tried B but my strings were a little too noodly. :p

I will lay all of these riffs upon the alter of Satan for his approval, and then I will get to work.

Hey, keep yours down to C. I've been bragging about how great it is owning a 7 string so that I could play wherever anybody downtuned to...time for me to put up or shut up. Hell of a workout!

BTW, riff #2 of mine is a loosely Slayer-based thing which (kinda) starts in C and seems to work alongside that intro of yours. Somehow I accidentally hit the same tempo too... :eek:

Time to go to work...long day of spreadsheets and church burnings to get through. :mad:

I am going to try. I won't have anything to post until this weekend.
I prefer there be something set in stone (sort of) before I track any bass. It's just easier for me to follow a rhythm than to just throw up a random track.

I understand that man...I would just flail around and make noise, unless there is some direction. Matter of fact, that's what I did last night...sounded terrible... :eek: :D

I actually have a couple cool bass lines, but they are not anything that will work for this collab...

just crossed my mind that besides the key you're going for, some sort of a tempo could be useful to work with, if you're making the rally from bits?.. :confused:

I mentioned earlier that I was programming the drums at 250 bpm, but feel free to half time that or play triplets.

Ditto that, but replace "I'm working late" with "I blew out my neck and back somefuckinghow". More this weekend for me too. In the meantime, I think I'll go stab some kittens. :mad:
