This is the thread in which all the sickos need to come together to create the ultimate steamroller, eye gouging, vertebrae crushing, entrail quilt knitting, toe nail peeling, face rasping death metal tune in honor of Purge's spitting in the collective face of misfortune and grief!

Alright!

I am kicking off the festivities by submitting this humble idea for an intro and a riff or two that were thrown in just to get an idea of what would fit with the drum parts. pardon the shitty sound, as this does indeed sound shitty as it's a quick bounce of some rough MIDI programming and some wretched sounding guitar.....

Everyone who's getting in on this, give me your drum ideas, some riff ideas, some whatever....and I'll get the track put together in DFHS and turned into a REAL song.

Then everyone who wants to can contribute some rhythm guitar tracks, vocals, bass, solos, bass tapping solos, kazoo solos, scat vocals, etc....and I'll piece together and mix the finished track.

I wanted to go straight for the 300 bpm blast beats, but I thought it might be nice to establish a little groove first. Bursts of asinine speed will be added judiciously.

I had another good idea, andyone who ultimately wants to play some rhythm guitar parts can send me a DI track, and I can mix the parts together and re-amp them at the same time. That way we can maintain a cohesive sound for the whole track.
 
I am so into this....

I am renting some gear this weekend because I had to leave it all at home while I play sailor...

I have a few basslines I would love to throw at ya!

The bass will be DI. Hopefully I can rent a decent DI box...

Is it possible to reamp a heavy palm muted riff? I guess it will sound like shit in a clean version, haha... any advice?

You can re-amp anything, it will sound exactly the same as plugging into the amp originally.

My suggestion if possible is to plug into a DI box to record, but plug into anther amp or something to monitor your playing. Most DI boxes will have a "thru" output for plugging into an amp at the same time.
 
I believe the name of this track is going to be "Minimum Rage".....which is rather ironic because everybody knows this track will be MAXIMUM RAGE MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!!!!!

Do you just want me to post a few rhythm guitar tracks or wait till you get some drums together? I am sure I can give you a few rhythm guitar tracks. How long it the song going to be? Do you want fast riffs or some slower chunky/mosh type riffs? Let me know dude!!!
 
Well, I was thinking that if anybody had any cool riff ideas, they could post them and I would write some drums to go with them...maybe then you could re-record them to the drums.
Otherwise I'm just going to write a bunch of crazy drum parts and let people play shit to that.

If you want to just throw out some riffs to a metronome or something, I have this track set at 250 bpm right now, but this intro part is sort of half timing it. I'd like to do some 250 bpm with 16th note kicks and maybe the same with some 1/8th triplet kicks.
