PureMix / Sonnox Mixing Contest!

Uploaded my mix. Done in PT11HD ITB with Sonnox, UAD, McDSP, SoundToys, and Eventide plugs.
This was a very straight forward mix since the tracks were well arranged and pretty complimentary. I went a little more Vox heavy than I normally do since it seems to be part of this style.
 
just uploaded my mix to the cloud.. thank you so much for putting this event on!!

I used Studio One 2 Pro, (thru a presonus studio live 24.4.2 interface) a bunch of factory plugs and a bunch of UAD 2 plugs and some from waves...

the first thing i did was matched the tempo, then i imported alllllllllll those tracks hahah

i then started with just simple panning.. then messed with eq'ing things to make em gel a bit

after that i messed with some reverbs and compressors..

I've only automated a few simple things (pan/volume) to keep the song as close to how the producer wanted it (I'm guessing!)

I've only submitted my 4th mix and i felt it was worthy enough to make it on the cloud.. i may replace it with another, depending............ (might want to run the mix through some outboard gear!)

Hello again!
Now I'm done. I can't come up with more excuses to give my wife....
So, here it is. Hope it's better than the last one. I started to run around my own tale quite a few hours ago, so I guess it's time to stop..
This has been great. I'm looking forward for the next contest!

Yes, we are getting there aren't we? It seems that every one who has been posting their versions of the mix here is improving their sound a lot! This challenge has been great!

I had an amazing time mixing this!! I really enjoyed it and i have just uploaded it to the Cloud!!.

As my DAW, I used cubase for the mixing process, some waves plug-ins, iZotope Nectar 2 for voices, and some other "secrets" haha. I took part in another mixing contest here in Chile last year, i thought those tracks were A LOT (67 tracks), but then i saw this and instantly thought as a new personal challenge for me, i never mixed 90 tracks before. It was great for practicing and improving my mixing skills.

I avoided hearing Ben's Mix in the website until the end, i tried to get the less influenced as i could, and that way integrate my personal "artistic" touch to the mix. By the way Ben's Mix is just great. Anyway i'm pretty confortable with the results of my mix.

There's so much i'd like to say about this beatiful mixing process, but English is not my native lenguage and it have already taken a lot of time writing this three paragraphs. Anyway, i hope i made myself clear (and sorry again for my english haha). Greetings and good luck to you all! I really want to hear the winners mixes!

Did you limit your 2Bus a little bit? Or did you a little Master processing?
