here's a punk song i wrote, recorded, mixed, and uploaded in about 2 and a half hours. i tried to be all political and stuff. you like? WELL I DON'T CARE IF YOU LIKE!! :mad:

Love the guitar sound. For me, the vox need to come up--I can hear that we're all f'ked, but I dont know why. Great drive and energy. Very big, pro sound for how quick you knocked this out!
 
thanks WS! hey man, this stuff is like the Ramen noodles of rock: quick, easy, cheap and awesome. i might turn up the vox a little bit, but then people might understand what i was saying :eek:

also the guitar was recorded clean DI thru the firepod, then i ran it thru a free amp sim and a SIR cabinet impulse. my amp's in the corner collecting dust. :p
 
That's one nice sounding sim! I wouldn't worry too much about people understanding your lyrics :D for me it's more of a balance thing--they just needed to be up a touch. You're still shout/singing them enough to be sufficiently vague!
 
I likey. Perfect as a track smack in the middle of a CD.

Fat Mike would be happy, and have you heard of Frenzal Rhomb from Australia? Reminded me of some of their earlier work, you might enjoy.

I almost don't want to say anything, but I'd bring the snare up a bit, if possible.

I've been recording my punk band lately and haven't been able to nail the vocals. How did you get that sound?
