Works fine for me... Just copy and paste if that's a no go. Any suggestions?

Yeah you can't directly link to Angelfire, just copy and paste the URL into your browser.

I read steaming it could help compressed wood make a comeback... seems like a very dangerous exercise.

Any thoughts?

Indeed. It is sometimes useful on thick flat pieces (such as in furniture), but not really useful for guitars.

The first thing to get used to is the fact that it will never be perfect. Second, you don't have the tools or experience to do it yourself. The pictures, unfortunatly, are not much help in seeing it. Without having in my hands, I just can't say, how best to fix it or how much it would cost. If it is a plywood back and sides, then I would probably just ignore it, if possible. It might get worse, but a plywood guitar is just not worth putting a lot of money into. If it is solid wood, take it to a good repair person and get a quote.
