The only think I can think of is to check and make sure that you have the recording type in the transport bar set to Replace. Also, double check and make sure in your ASIO panel, ormixer, that the incoming signal is indeed present and didn't drop out. If the recording is set to "Mix" and your signal isn't coming in right, it would appear to process your take, making you think your new take was recorded fine, but the outcome would simply be what was there before since all it did was add a blank take on top of the original.
