Public service : Athlon/DDR and MOTU = No Go

it doesnt work. Something that has to do with DDR memory etc.. be careful of Athlons in some of this recording gear.. It'll mess you up for weeks
 
Probably has more to do with whichever chipset your motherboard has.
 
midiman told me..in big bold letters when i emailed them...

MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE VIA CHIPSET!

i was asking about delta44.
 
I dont have a VIA chipset and MOTU themselves eventually admitted the DDR thing..

I had another guy from Midiman (tech service) that said a Delta 66 would work fine (after I told him my exact chipset).

Sounds like a breakdown in communication at midiman tech services.

It's these types of mixed messages that will cause me to just bite the bullet and buy a P4 next time.
