PTHD: No Audio form the 192 "Optical" output????

I have connected the 192 interface optical SPDIF output to a the optical input of a soundcard. For some reason, I can't get any audio form the 192's optical output. I noticed on the back of the 192-there is a ADAT optical and stereo SPDIF optical connection . I set the "Hardware Setup" to "Optical" and the output i/o to "Optical 11-12". Still no audio? Since I'm trying to send audio through the 192 output, there's no need for setting the wordclock to an external soucre. What am I doing wrong?

A Edirol UA-1 EX

I connected the soundcard to a Mac G5's S/PDIF port and it works fine. But still no audio form the 192.

In the "Hardware Setup"menu, I have selected the "Optical" for the output. Now, when i try to assign the output ports.

For example:

Analog 1-2
Analog 3-4
Optical 11-12
Optical 13-14
Digital 15-16 (all formats)​

I do not see a S/PDIF connection in the port menu.. It works for receiveing audio, but not sending..

For example:

Analog 1-2
Analog 3-4
S/PDIF 11-12
Digital 13-14 (all formats)
Digital 15-16 (all formats)​
