i started using a midi keyboard for recording round about the time it started happenin if that could be an issue. Any help would be greatly appresiated, i'm lined up to record for a band this weekend.

Is it possible you have some dodgy routing set up?

Does it do it on all sessions?

What is the signal path prior to the interface?

Sounds like radio freguency interference or crosstalk from poorly shielded cables or improper grounding. Check that midi and audio cables are not crossing over an electical cord. You may also need to lower the gain of the imput signal a bit. Hope this helps.

thanks for the suggestions,

the routing setup:

Ya it happens on all sessions, old and new.

its just a mic (akg c2000b) + lead straight into the interface, i've tried different mics (dynamic/condenser) and different leads, phantom power on/off all to no avail.

ya i agree it sounds like some interference so i moved the everything to another room and set it up seperating all the wires so they didn't cross. but i'm still scratching my head!
