Prsonus Firepod preamps don't turn off

When using my Firepod, I noticed that the preamp gains do not completely turn off when turning the knob all the way counter clockwise. For example, if I have a guitar plugged into channel 1, I can increase the gain by turning the knob clockwise but when I turn the knob completely counter clockwise, I can still hear the guitar (lower volume but I can still hear it and it shows coming though on the graphic levels in Sonar). I thought that if a channels gain was turned to 0, then no signal would go through. Is this normal or is something wrong?

Thanks,
Rich

From the Firepod manual, I see this:

Microphone Input XLR: 45dB of variable gain (+14 dB to +55dB)
Instrument HiZ Input TS ¼” (channels 1 and 2 only): 45 dB variable gain (+8dB to +50dB)

This means, the even on minimum setting, the Instrument input is getting 8dB of gain.

So, the device seems to be working correctly.
