Protools LE 8 Question

Hey all,

How would I set up my Alesis DM5Pro Electric drum kit to play/ record it's own drum samples in Protools LE 8?

I'm using the DIGI002 rack and have the in and outs connected with two MIDI cables.

I can get it to record MIDI notes, and then play them with the boom virtual instrument or some other virtual instruments using an Aux track, but I am not sure how to record the drum sounds from the DM5Pro kit..

Plug the output of the DMS into the inputs of the Digi002. Set up an audio track for each output and input of the Digi and set the audio input to those channels on the reletive tracks. Press record.

I believe that isn't MIDI recording. That is using the Analog 1/4" outs of the DM5.

I was wondering how to record MIDI with the DM5 and use it's own sounds.
