Hello dear forum members

I'm moving to the USA and want to get an apple laptop to act as my DAW. I currently use cubase on a PC with an RME Fireface 400 interface. As i am moving to mac, i want to start using a different software, i.e Logic 8 or PT 7. I am aware that PT will require me to sell the RME and get a digi 002 or 003 system, though i want to do it because PT is the industry standard and i want to start doing more studio work, producing other people etc.

My question is, is the whole "PT for audio Logic for midi" story really true? I do use midi, about 5 tracks every project, midi cc's and automation. Will i suffer in PT? should i go Logic?

On that note, is PT light enough for a powerbook G4 1.67 ppc? as i can get one for about 300$ less then a macbook and i need all the money i can get.

Thanks for your help
