does protools support vst effects and instruments? I'd imagine it does, but I'm not sure. my current computer won't run the demo and I haven't found any posts on the subject.

There is no VST support in PT.

great googley moogley! I suppose if you have 2500 to throw around on one of the PERSONAL studios, and 250 to blow on a color coded keyboard, you'd have to cash for REAL instruments.

There are a number of 3rd party tools that let you use VSTis in Pro Tools. I've used Ugly VSTi, and it works great. However, as far as VST plugins (not instruments) goes, all the good ones are available in TDM or RTAS format... maybe I don't understand the question...
