Protools (-6086)

Hi, My Protools LE 8 on PC windows XP keeps stopping and comes up with the error message "The operating system held off interrupts for too long. if this occurs frequently, try increasing the H/D Buffer Size in the Playback Engine panel (-6086).
I have of couse tried this and still get the message, tried upping it to max still no good, tried a few other thing still no good. Any Idears? I have uninstalled LE8 and Tried LE 7 still no good so back on LE 8. I am using an Mbox2

Is this during a heavy session? What kind of spec is your system? Maybe it just isn't capable.

What state is your system in? Maybe some housekeeping wouldn't go amiss?
