Hi all, Finally after reading the posts/answers here I now have a Delta 66 card and will install it tomorrow (hopefully).

Here are my question for today..

I dont have a good mixer therefore my vocal pre amp options are

1) an old peavey xr 600 mixer amp (rough)
2) Digitech RP2K guitar modeller (possability for vocals at a push)
3) A Sony Integrated Stereo Amp TA-F30.
4) Sony Mini disc (Walkman style).
5) Sharp Stereo Cassette Deck (Dolby) RT- 1010.

I know none of the above are ideal but wondered if any were preferrable over the others?

Thanks for reading

Alan

I guess I would go with the Peavey Alan.

I don't see how you would use the integrated amp or the cassette deck though.

Up til now I had not worked out a plan and thought I would get some feedback before starting.

The possible list of pre amps was my list of the possibilities I had, I knew they werent good but its nice to get them out of the way.

It looks like i am on the hunt for a mixer OR a good pre amp.

My guitars, drums , bass, pianos etc are all line level....so its just the voice that needs amping.

My Peavey is around 15 years old and is a 6 channel PA amp and not really designed for recording.

I am basically recording myself so if anyone has any good suggestions for a mid/pro level preamp OR mixer then feel free.

As a singer with 15 years experiance singing covers.... I might do myself justice and get a good quality preamp/mixer as I hope to get a deal performing my one songs live..... so hiding my voice behing a crap pre amp is not wise.

Thanks for the congrats on my Delta 66..... I look forward to getting it up and running tomorrow.

Thanks again

Alan
