I just picked up (for a song!) a Yamaha TG-55 sound module. I know that it's programmable through SysEx commands, but I can't find any decent software to do this in windows 2000.

What can I use for SysEx under 2k?

Also, does anyone know a source for sound expansion cards on that unit / new samples for download ?

Thanks!

SoundDiver from Emagic supports it ( I think).

I had the SY55 in a previous life and its really not that hard to program from the front panel.

As far as Wave Expansion Cards, I see them once in a while on eBay.

I have used Sound Diver with it I think. Or was that another module? Oh, well. It is really not that hard to program. It is somewhat Yamahaish in terms of the amount of parameters you can edit. I wold stick to the basics because sometimes you get so deep and find that the effect is almost unnoticeable. I have the manual if you need a scan or two.

I have not seen many cards for it that have sounds, mostly ram cards. Kid Nepro may have some awesome patches ready to go for it.
