Programming Drums, Cubase LE 5

So I want to program drums into my songs, I'm using Cubase LE5 and the Akai EIE audio interface. my recording is all in check input and output work fine but when I try to use MIDI to program drums I either get no output at all or it just plays through my laptop speakers. Is there a way to fix the MIDI input output settings?

You're not giving us enough information to help you. What drums are you using? Is your audio coming out the laptop speakers also? Try posting screenshots of the midi track in Cubase. Particularly the input/output section.

Yes, you need to give more info. When you say you are using 'MIDI to program drums' how exactly are you doing that? Drum editor? Controller? Virtual Controller (not sure LE5 has that)?.

The program (VSTi) you are using to program drums with is also important.

The fact that you have audio playing out of your laptop speakers tells me you have not made your interface the default device in Windows? Again, more info is needed.

Ok, I just looked at your previous posts. You did not respond to my questions that answers would have helped there either.

If you want to get help here, you need to respond to those asking questions to help you. You likely just have not made your AKAI the default device in Windows as well as in Cubase, and you have not taken the time to listen to advices already given.

There are many here to help you. Just take the time to read the posts given for your earlier questions.
