Okay, so i've been doing research all over the place and still cant seem to understand the difference between the -10dB and +4dB levels, and which situations they are best used in.
Most of the gear i have has a +4dB pad, and im running the inputs into a Tascam US 1641. Would it be an option?
Does this in any way affect the maximum level that a signal will peak at? For example, would using the +4dB pad mean that the peak level would be 14dB higher than using the -10dB?
Any information regarding this would be appreciated.
