My apologies. I thought the initial question
was upgrading from Pro Audio 8 to Pro Audio 9.
Again, there was not a tremendous jump betweeen
these versions. Of course the upgrades will
always be more effecient ultimately, but you
can do anything that you could want to to do
with Pro Audio 8. Sonar on the other hand,
appears to be the big jump. I must admit though
if there wasnt even another version after PA9,
that it would have gotten the job done. I think
you find that in time when it comes to upgrades.
That its not a question of if you have to but rather
if you can and if you want to. If youre at Home or
Guitar studio which I believe are limited in the
amount of tracks you can use, then I would say
definitely go with the Pro Audio. Ive noticed lately
that that are audio card manufacturers that are
including Pro audio 9 with their audio cards.
Aardvark is one. Now this is where those hard
earned dollars should go! Again, just my opinion.
