Producer X3 soft synths

When I insert a soft synth, it appears in the synth rack but it does not become visible. The TTS-1 plays but does not appear anywhere. When I insert Session Drummer 3, it appears in the rack but even though I assign the drum track to the synth, there is no sound and now graphic on the drum kit.
Can anyone help?

Is this a fresh Sonar install? Any hardware changes to the PC or software installed? It sounds like a glitch, as it's obviously uncommon behavior. You may need to just bite the bullet and uninstall/reinstall Sonar. It's unlikely all the soft synths are bad/corrupt, so the only other variable is Sonar itself.
 
Can you show us a screen shot of the pop-up that appears right after you insert the synth?
 
Have you tried clicking on the synths in the rack?
 
Try undocking the synth rack, then maximise it to see what's in there.
 
Double clicking the synth in the rack should bring up the synth view. You can also tell it to do this when you insert a synth where it says "Open these windows" with check boxes for Synth Property Page and Synth Rack View.
