I need to get a new pair of monitors. I've been using Event TR5s with a Samson Resolv 120a subwoofer and had great results/translation. But I'm moving to a different room in the house and just don't have a place for the sub anymore. I want to get some 8" monitors, and don't have a huge budget. What little I've found on these Prodipe monitors is all good reviews. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to test them out. Music Factory Direct is the only US seller I can find, and I don't think they have an actual store (if they did it would be 3 hours away from me).
I'm thinking I'll take the chance and order a pair. The worst that could happen is I'll get stuck paying for return shipping if I don't like them. I haven't fully decided between the silk tweeters or ribbon. Any opinions?
I'm also considering Samson A8, KRK RP8, and Event TR8 -- if I can find a used pair of TR8's.
