processing vocals

Hi all,
I'd just like to know what tips and tricks you all have for recording vocals. I'm not talking about which reverbs to add ...I'm talking about any kind of processing that needs to be done like normalizing. Also any EQ tips for vocals? Is there any way to record vocals and hear the reverb on the track as you do so? I'm using Logic Audio Gold on Win 98 v2.
Thanks in advance

good mic, good preamp, good recording medium, good vocalist....record flat, no eq and dry.....

many tricks and tips in past posts...my favorite is to copy the vocal track to a second track, delay it 30ms or so, compress the hell out of it, and give it a few db boost at 5k....bring the dry track up almost full and blend in the second processed as desired....
