i am going to tell you what im using and i need to know somthing. dont laugh.
i am using a line 6 guitar port, and a eurorack ub1202 mixer. i am a guitaristass player. ive gotten good at making drums but i need to know what is the best way to record my guitar playing.
i got an mxl 990 to do vocals with. the ub1202 mixer has phantom power so thats fine, and i can even put effects on my vocal. sounds good.
so i have a v847 wah and a boss ds1 that i run my guitar into then into my mixer. problem: mixers main out is broke up into left and right outs.
guitar port only has one in. so wtf do i do? im only going to have left or right, or is there a converter i can get that will join the to signals into one out?
if so, post links where i can buy one or tell me if i can use another out.
there is an fx send/tape out, in. (RCA PLUGS)/control room out/ and headphones. nice mixer for what i need to use it for. but i cant get the right volumes at all.
i am using adobe audition 1.5 and an audigy 2 soundcard. just basic stuff.
again, i can not get my volumes to sound good in audition. i have been using the headphone out and it sounds crap.
so..thanks to anybpdy who takes the time to read this much less help me out.
i am a noob at recording and i respect the skill you guys have. i am trying to make this a good post....so here are links to what i am using.
thank you...you guys rock.

Looks like it is time to upgrade your sound card. Fortunately you can get one pretty cheap ($100). Check out M-Audio's Delta series or the new E-mu cards. Basically you're looking for an ASIO capable card (Either PCI or USB), with multiple ins/outs. My first "Proper" soundcard was the M-Audio Delta-44, and had nothing but good luck with it. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Delta44/

And you should have no problem running the Guitar Port side by side with the Delta just like you do now with the Audigy (Which you could keep installed, if you wanted too).
