Hi, I'm writing because I am in problems.
I've made a recording using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 using a Layla sondcard (8 ins) and I sinchronized it with a Roland VS 1680 (6 ins).
I have used MTCand Cakewalk was the slave one.
After recording that, and when I came back home, I found that all the tracks recorded at Cakewalk were a little down in pitch(and more slowly).
This happened to me at the studio when I turned off the VS 1680, but when I turned on, all the tracks played at a constant speed.
But now I'm on the studio, and the tracks are like working at separatly speeds.
Please help me!!

Thanks

I am almost certian that you are experiancing something called latency. I have a state of the art commercial recording facility and this is a problem we had with computer recording. When the clock stream from the VS-1680 is slightly different from the clock interpretation of Cakewalk you will experiance pitch shift in your audio tracks. This can be corrected I have found by using SMPTE and not MTC. Also see what kind of MIDI cable you are using. You need a very expensive monster cable for sync connections. Someimte it helps when you experiance latency to just try and play it again. Cakewalk may receive a better clock reading.

Hope this helped.
