Sorry I'm very new at computer recording. My soundcard which was a soundblaster, is broken or something...anyways it won't work and now I know it's a piece of crap anyways. I'm in the market for a new soundcard. I read all the past threads and it made me even more confused, so I though I would just ask my own question.
I need to know what the best option for a soundcard would be for my given situation. I want to be able to plug my mixer into it which is a Behringer something. I need the Phantom power supply and I like having the effects at my finger tips frommy mixer. But this is where I get confused. Is it better just to get a good soundcard or a new sound card and interface. My understanding if i get them together I won't have to hook up anything in the back expect the cable that goes from the sc to the interface.. and where does digital quality come in? I read somewhere that the Echo Gina might be right. I get really lost in the computer talk and what it all means. I hope this gets easier as I go. Any help will be greatfully apreciated!!! Thanks
