Problems with Pro Tools 8

I've got a few issues with Pro Tool 8 on my Mac. I've got an Avid M Box Mini which i'm running a mic off but i've got no sound!!!! All connections are fine and the volume is turned up on my computer i just can't seem to play back my recordings (let alone find where the recordings are!!! I need help please!!!!

Is the mix knob set all the way to the left? If so you wont hear playback.
