I'd just buy a new one man. Push pull pots are exspensive anyhow. and I mean this as no offense but if you can't wire your guitar right I wouldn't tackle this next. It could just turn into a real mess of ruined parts. and think of it this way. keep the board from the old one and then if anything ever happens you have a spare.
