problems with mixdown in cubase

Hi, hope someone can help. I'm fairly new to home recording and everything seems to be going well except when I try to export a cubase song to an audio mixdown it produces the message "the stereo channels will be recorded as one mono channel" or something to that effect. Anyone have any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

You need to make sure that Stereo Interleaved (or something like that) instead of Mono is selected when you are doing the mixdown.

That should do it..
