Problems with Kristal

I installed Kristal and use a Delta 10/10LT soundcard.

On the mixer I set the waver in audio input 1 and the livein in input 2.

In input 1 (livein) I put input 3 from my soundcard (as 1&2 have built in pres and I'm using an external pre).

In waver 1, I selected mme input 3 (as this is the only one which seems to get me a signal).

When I play and monitor the sound is fine but when I record, the played back signal is scratchy, whiney and sort of detuned sounding.

Any ideas what this could be?

hmm have you successfully recorded withyour delta in the past?? maybe try a demo of another piece of software and see the same thing happens. try the sonar demo at www.cakewalk.com or something.

Thanks for suggestion, it's embarassing but I've actually recorded a guitar track onto Kristal just as a test when I first installed it and it was fine.
