Perhaps one setting is wrong or my system has a bad CPU hog that messes things up ... perhaps the Dman can't co-exist with the Sound Blaster Live! card ... here's the problem:
After recording vocals to a MIDI accompaniment, playback is just erratic and shaky: slows down speeds up, seems to hestiate then picks up, then slows down again; very frustrating.
I've performed every system tweak I could think of, and I'm rather surprised since DMAN is supposed to work well with Cakewalk!
