Problems with CardD Plus

I just bought a Digital Audio Labs CardD Plus (old ISA version) from a reputable source. I'm an experienced audio tech, and I know my way around the insides of PC's, so I don't think I'm making obvious newbie mistakes.

I can record just fine through the system Soundblaster line inputs. When I select the CardD as the recording source, the various recording utiilties I'm using don't seem to see it-- the seconds do not tick off on the counter and I get nothing in the wav file-- no noise floor, zero.

I know I'm getting good line level signal to the CardD inputs.

I've tried various combinations of IRQ's and DMA's.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Yeah I had one of those too

Mine didn't work at first and I KNEW I was getting a leftover from some tradeshow for a GOOD price. This is a really nice card insofar as noise floor. Try yanking it out physically and putting it back in. Erase all drivers installed in association with this and MAKE SURE they're realy gone. Reinstall the latest versions of the drivers for your O/S. I hope I don't sound too friggin' condescending with this generalized info 'cause I'll admit right here you probably know more than I do about this shit based on your self evaluation as an audio tech. But in times of distress even the pros are hesitant to re-address simple issues they've dismissed for whatever reason.
If your problem is based on a Win98 refusal to recognize the ISA device- maybe Slackmaster can help you.
Gina went right in no questions asked.
PCI and a 1/4" breakout box.
I still have the Card D. Any offers?

Ive got your answer!

just hand that lil ol baby over to me, and never have to worry about it again, you can buy a new card and you will ahve no problems.. either will i :D
