I have a problem with my MXL V69. It has a very loud and constant static that will not seem to go away. I did a search and found a thread very similar to this and took the steps they listed to fix the problem. I tried drying out the mic with a lightbulb.....no help. Then I tried changing the tube with a Grooves tube again I was still stuck with the static. That leaves two things that could possibly be making the static. One is the 7 pin mogami cord, I doubt that it is the problem...but I have no way to test it. Second is an issue with the PS-69 power supply from MXL. If anyone knows how to fix the problem or any helpful suggestions it would greatly be appreciated.
