Problems w/ Cubase SE

Hey i have Cubase SE and lately for some reason that i don't know whenever i try to open a file or do and audio mixdown the program will just freeze and i can't do anything bout it accept go to task manager and stop it. Any help on this problem would be great!!
 
Have you tried re-installing it over the top? It does it when trying to open a blank project?
 
yeah i tried re-installing it but i didn't work and it does work when i try to open a project....only freezes when i go to file open and try to mixdown
 
Sounds like the type of problem you get when you pirate software. Could that be the issue?
 
no i bought it off the shelf at guitar center

but i have been messin around w/ my computer and i think the problem is within that....sometimes when i open up my documents i'll receive an error message saying that windows explorer needs to close and sometimes it will say "runtime error 204 at 00B324C4"

so i think i know the problem, its just a matter of fixing it now which i have no idea how
 
You could have an abundance of spyware operating in the background or worse yet a virus. Go to lavasoft.com and download the free ad-aware free prgram. Make sure you get the free one because they try to sell you upgrades.

There are certain spywares out there that won't even let you download this program so you may need to get Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org/
as an option. Install and run it. That may solve your problem.

You might want to unistall any software that had trial periods. Many plugins come with that option and can screw up your program once the trial runs out.

If none of thaty works then contact Cubase support.
