Problem xfade in the insprctor box:VST R5.1r1

Hi,
To anyone who has used the crossfade in the inspector function,my question is.
When you click "on" the crossfade function box does a "Save- in Folder" window appear?
The reason I ask is because I seem to recall this happening only once before.
I'm not sure if my crossfade function is working properly.
Also I've discovered an empty def all_xfade folder inside another folder I had used for recording test.
If this folder is misplaced, then where should it be placed ?
I would appreciate any reply..PLEASE.

I may be incorrect but I believe the "Save -in folder" window appears only in Cubase when you initially open the program and work on a new song and then attempt to save it without having already chosen an audio folder.

You're correct about that.
My dilema is that I've discovered this folder def all_xfades suddenly from out of nowhere residing in one of my song folders.

Cubase isn't the most user friendly software around especially for people who like to move files around. You should check through windows EXPLORE(right click the start button) to make sure that folder truly is empty. If it is just leave it there because it can do no harm and empty folders don't use any significant amount of memory. If you find a file I'd just leave it because it's probably not taking up much memory and if it is just delete it. You did say it was just for a test. The 'def all' is the default name prompted when you do a 'Save as' or other save functions, which you probably just entered. There's no real reason for concern.
