Hey all,
My name is Jay and I am definitely a noob. I'll get right to the point. I purchased an HP zd8000 series notebook from CompUSA and the Tascam US-122 from a local music store. I went with these units on the salesmen's recommendations. I was looking for portable and not too expensive. Anyway, being new to recording, I'm having troubles with some settings with the laptop and the 122. I was able to record and work my way through Cubase LE and I'm able to track guitar. The problem is when I play it back, it sounds like there are gliches in the audio. Almost like it happened when it was recorded. It's like there are bits of data missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have access to much because I am in the military and currently on deployment several thousand miles from home. If someone out there has some suggestions, I've included my e-mail address. fryj@oak-hill.navy.mil Thanks for the help in advance.
sincerely,
Jay
