Problem with Internet audio

I'm using Mbox. I have MME helper to "opt in" other programs for wave driver. Unfortunately I can't hear Mp3's with Media Player when I'm online. I have to opt out of Internet Explorer. Am I missing something? It's a pain to have to close other programs to hear audio.
