When I play my recorded voice out of the speaker in N-track it sounds perfect. Then I unplug the speaker and then put in the headphones and listen and it's just junk, can hardly hear me singing and it's real fuzzy sounding. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Are there some settings that are supposed to be checked/unchecked? We just put in a new soundcard (joystick)port

Creative Soundblaster Audigy LS 24 bit advanced HD 96kHz/100dB SNR

thanks, Linda

I'm not familiar with the card, but doesn't it have a separate headphone jack?

Linda-

I downloaded your manual and it shows that you hook the headphones to the front speaker connector and then in the "Speaker Selection" tab of the "Creative Speaker Settings", make sure that the "Headphones" option is selected.

This is what the card has:

Analog/Digital Out
line in
mic in
line out 1
line out 2
midi port

so wouldn't I be plugging the headphones into the analog/digital out?

Or is there supposed to be a separate place for them?

Linda-

Read your manual!

The headphone should connect to the 4th connector from the top. I believe it's green.

Thanks Ted, you did very well, I got it to work!!
