I want to record some music so i bought some equipment like sound card ESP 1010 with 8 input and audobe audition program for recording
but i have problem
when i put my guitar (semi-acoustic yahama) directly into my soundcard, sound that i record is very "plastic" ,
do you know why that happens and how can you solve that problem?
thanking in advance

plastic... never heard that expression before.. have you tried adding a bit more bass on the EQ settings? Have you got an amp? maybe you could try micing up the amp and recording from there? Ive always found you get a better result from doing that.

Good luck

plastic sound means that its is not natural acoustic sound

Well personally, if you plugged it directly in, i couldnt think how it could get an acoustic sound.. having that nice acoustic sound is all because of the guitar and the natural sounds it gives off when you strike the string. Having it being picked up will lose all the natural (or acoustic) feel. I dont know if thats totally correct, but it makes sense to me...

Try micing it up, you will get a nice acoustic sound then.
