I have created a project with Nuendo and I have successfully opened
that project earlier but the last time I added 2 miditracks on it, the Cubase SX
has not been able to open it since!?
I got something like 17 tracks (3 audios and the rest is midi) in the song at the moment and I´ve
viciously tried to open the project for over 24hrs and it is STILL loading the track!!
I use very powerful PC and although there are about 10 VSTi´s on at the moment, I don´t see a problem with any other projects..

Would someone please tell me what could it be causin` all this??Anyone had similar problems?

First thing I assumed was that maybe I´ll just have to take the power off
from the VSTi´s and save the project from there..?

Maybe this is just the obvious but you said everything started once you added those 2 tracks.... why not delete or save them somewhere else and then try opening it again. Maybe some funky VST dll or something in one of those tracks. ??

I had something similar just happen. Since I upgraded to Cubase SX 2 I've been having the occasional problem with Kontakt. It would just go flaky all of a sudden and notes would start playing when I didn't have any midi notes defined. Finally one of my projects would not open at all. I uninstalled Kontakt and I was able to open the project.

I went to the Native Instruments site this week and noticed that they had an update for Kontakt to 1.5. Unfortunatly I had to pay $49 for it, but after I installed it I no longer have any issues with Kontakt.

There is also an update available for Cubase SX on the Steinberg site so you could try that. Just make sure that when you install it you select yes to making a backup copy of your current installation so that if you have to back out of the update you can.

Why if you have Nuendo, would you want to carry a project over to Cubase?
Why not continue in Nuendo?
