Problem synchronize drum/recording

Hello there, ive got major problem in recording. i record drumloops/drum sequence in a certain track and playback it, sound good. When i add 2 addional track (maybe rythm, bass, or harmony) and playback with the drum sequence, the drum part sounds bulky, i mean the drum part already didnt follow the proper time line. sometimes the snare hits earlier or late from the proper time line, but when i check, it is in the proper time line. example for 2/4 beat. In a 1-2-3-4 count, the kick hits 1 and 3 and the snare hits 2 and 4. when i add rythms or guitar sound, sometimes the snare sound hitting not in the 2 and 4, maybe 1.8 or 2.2 or 3.8 or 4.2. something like that. you know what i mean. it only occurs when i add other sounds, but when a solo playback the drum sequence, it always sounds good. may be it is the way i add the other track? or is in the software? i dont now? anybody help?

what do you mean hardware? the system that im using? ok ive got a low grade pc.....im using win98, 128 MB ram, AMD-K7(tm) Processor, i think its not pentium , my sound card is soundblaster live,. my drum sequence sounds a little off when i add some more tracks in my software, im using Quartz Audiomaster Promise. thnx

Uh, isn't the Quartz Audiomaster Promise another soundcard, or onboard sound chip?

If you are using these two devices you probably have a clocking problem -- they will not synch with each other very well unless you use the audio card as your timing reference.

no no, audiomaster is a software that i used in recording, my sound card is Soundblaster live......
