problem recording to computer

I'm using a Fostex VF-08 digital multitrack and am trying to put a few songs onto my computer using musicmatch. Problem: the recordings only playback on the left. I tried switching to mono and tried everything else I could think of... any ideas? I've recorded my friends stuff the same way and had no trouble. Please help.... I'm trying to finish by Christmas!

Are you using a "stereo" adapter for your line in to your soundcard?

Have you checked the "balance" on both you deck and in
your sounds/multimedia folder?

Also,...your cables may be fubar.....
try another set if everything else is where it is supposed to be.
