Newbie time.
I am trying to set n-Track (newly registered) up and keep floundering at the very beginning; I cannot get a signal to register on the VU meters. I suspect something is turned off (no, not the computer), or something embarassingly simple is going on.
Soundcard is SB Live!
I'm pulling an analog signal in from a tape output on my mixer. Creative recorder recognizes it and I have done a couple of single tracks with that. So the cable's OK. I've tried mic in and line in; reset the soundcard mixer from line to mic and back again and so forth; once I got a very small meter reading when I threw the mic through the window. Or something.
If you think this is funny, just watch me set my VCR sometime. Help!
