help.!!!! recorded a vocal audio track on Q2 at highest quality....plays fine on the recorder but doesnt play when using an external player and either downloading the file or playing off the recorder.....seems i had this problem in the past...but can't remember how i got around this...need the file for tomorrow am!!!! thanks in advance!

Be more specific. Q2HD or Q2n? Audio or video? Exactly what format (resolution, sample rate, bit depth).

Q2 PCM44.1/6 audio only....huge file....but acting on suggestion from someone on zoom FB page i "converted" via file converter....wav to wav...???? NO idea why THAT worked. but it did...cant remember how i solved this prob last time....something about the capacity of diff players to deal with this file size....getting old....me...and the recorder....have a Q3 which i liked even more....but seems to be MIA...seems to have died completely...of course it has been dropped a few times...as those tiny little tripods collaps

btw I swear i used to be able to record highest quality video+audio for at least 30 mins no prob....now it seem to suck batteries dry REALLY fast...have you experienced that?

what is the sweet spot for price/features in the newest generation of zoom recorders?

thanks in advance!

It sounds like you've solved the main problem with the conversion.

I have a Q2HD, but I mostly use that for streaming. For that it's powered from the USB. I also have a Zoom H5. That seems to go several hours on a pair of AA batteries, but sometimes I power it through the USB connector. I've got an old phone charger with mini USB, and I've got a few USB booster batteries, the kind people use to give their phone batteries a boost.
