problem akg c1000s

i have a akg c1000s in which i using 9v battery form a year
now LED light constantly , i replaced the battery with a new one with perfect 9v but result is same. what is problem?
can you help me ?

have you tried to (phantom) power your mic from a console in stead of a battery.
