Yes, if its strong enough. Well-made shielded cables will not be affected as much.

alright. i had an old speaker sitting in the corner of my room just kinda for decoration and had an xlr cable running behind it but now i know not to do that thanks.

Technically, it has zero effect on the "cable". However, if the cable is a cheap POS, the magnetic lines of flux from the magnet could potentially effect the "signal" running through the cable.

It's not likely to make any difference. You can leave the cable running behind it with impunity
